CanTax is an iOS app developed by PRPL Solutions Inc. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data CanTax accesses, how it is used, and what we do not collect.
CanTax does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
All tax calculations — including sales tax (GST, PST, HST, QST) and income tax with CPP and EI deductions — are performed entirely on your device. CanTax requires no internet connection and never transmits any data to external servers. Your financial inputs remain private and are never stored outside of your device.
CanTax stores your preferences (such as selected province or tax year) using Apple's UserDefaults on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to PRPL Solutions or any third party.
Because CanTax does not collect any data, there are no special concerns regarding users under the age of 13. No personal information is collected from anyone.
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
